Welcome to World Civilizations!
The question of why we study world history is one that is not too easy to answer.
It is bigger than each of us, and reaches into our collective memories and goals as a people.
Understanding the basics of history gives you place to start in everything you want to do in this world. You are where you are, and who you are because of all that came before you. We as global citizens need an understanding of each other, what makes each part of the world unique, and what makes us all the same.
